Boston; ‘The Cradle of Liberty’


About four hours away from New York stands America's 'walking city'. Being the capital of the state of Massachusetts, Boston lies at the mouth of the Charles River. It has many attractions through which its past comes to life every day. Boston which played an essential role in the revolutionary war is also known as an important seaport and a trade centre. Boston Children's Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Harvard Art Museum, Harvard Museum of Natural History, John F. Kennedy Library and Museum, MIT Museum are some good places to visit for the traveller who is inclined towards the historical background of Boston. A two and a half mile walking trail, known as the Freedom Trail, will lead to 16 nationally significant historic sites.

Some notable events are the St. Patrick's Day celebrated on the 17th March, and Patriot's Day on the 3rd of April. The Cow Parade is also a unique event which can be only experienced in Boston.
